Date Night

Lance knew I needed a little TLC after three weeks of illnesses, a disaster zone for a house, having to call him and ask for help finding a friend's house in seminary housing and to top it all off -- having to rescue me after locking the keys in the van for the second time in three months when he really did not have the time.  We had a gift certificate from Restaurants.com for Tir-na-Nog burning a whole in our pocket.  It is a great Irish Pub in downtown Raleigh.  All I had to do was find a last minute sitter.  No problem - our former neighbor from the cul-de-sac came over for a few hours and brought her daughter to play with the kiddos.  Another sweet friend treated us to some cash that had to be used only for fun - nothing practical. A weeknight date at a place other than fast food for $15 out of our own pocket with a nice lunch for Lance for tomorrow plus some time to spend with the best husband in the world without having to brave Valentine's business= SCORE!   I am one happy wife who will be able to tackle the mess and the daily grind with a happy heart.
